Marketplace packaging machine: keep the bench small on peak days

400 orders on a normal day, 2,000 on a sale day. A marketplace seller's problem is not the average, it is the peak. Paketör exists to get through peak days with the same operator and no extra hands.

Short answer

For marketplace sellers the Paketör PK-220 matches the courier label downloaded from the seller panel to the order barcode, prints it, bags and seals the item automatically. One operator produces 600-900 parcels an hour, absorbing three- to four-fold order surges on sale days without temporary staff. The same flow works for Amazon, Shopify stores and regional marketplaces.

Paketör operator console packing marketplace orders

A marketplace seller's packing day

The order appears in the panel; the courier label is ready as a PDF. On the bench: pick the item, open a bag, print the label, stick it on the right parcel, drop it in the cart. Fine on a quiet day; the trouble starts with the sale calendar: Black Friday, 11.11, seasonal campaigns, and the Monday pile after a weekend. Adding two people to the bench on those days is expensive and risky: new hands make mistakes, labels go on the wrong parcel, returns and seller-rating penalties follow.

The flow with Paketör

  1. The operator scans the barcode on the packing slip. The onboard PC matches the label downloaded from the seller panel.
  2. The item is dropped on the belt; the bag is cut from the roll, opened by air, and the item is bagged.
  3. The jaw seals the bag, the SATO printer prints the courier label, the machine applies it.
  4. The parcel drops from the conveyor into the courier cart. 3-6 seconds per order.

Label generation stays in the marketplace; the machine only prints and applies. Your carrier contract, barcode format and integrator do not change. Details on the shipping packaging machine page.

The common mistake

Sizing the machine on average orders. Decide on the peak day: how many people, how many hours of overtime, how many orders slip to the next day. Those three numbers tell you what to compare the price against; see the pricing guide.

FAQ

Most asked about this topic

Can it print marketplace courier labels?

Yes. The PDF label from the seller panel is matched to the order barcode and printed on the SATO printer, then applied to the parcel.

Is custom software needed for the marketplace?

No. The onboard Windows PC prints the label file the panel produces. Integrator labels go the same way.

How many parcels an hour on a sale day?

600-900 depending on item size. One operator finishes 2,000 orders in about 3.5 hours.

Can several marketplaces be packed on one machine?

Yes. Labels from different marketplaces go to the same printer; one operator packs all of them at one station.
