Automatic bagging machine: the machine opens the bag, not you
A tabletop bag sealer is a heater, not a machine: you choose the bag, open it, insert the item and hold the mouth. An automatic bagging machine removes all of those steps. The difference shows above 300 orders a day.
Short answer
An automatic bagging machine (auto bagger) cuts a mailer from roll film to item length, bags the item, heat-seals the mouth and applies the shipping label. Compared with a tabletop bag sealer it removes bag selection, opening and placement from the operator; time per parcel falls from 15-20 seconds to 3-6.

The tabletop sealer is cheap and right for a small seller. The problem appears past 300 orders: sealing is faster, but bag opening and labelling are still manual, so the bottleneck has only moved.
How automatic bagging works
- Scan. The operator scans the barcode on the packing slip or the item. The system identifies the order and prepares the label.
- Open. Film is drawn from the roll and opened by an air jet in front of the operator, who drops the item in. No folding, no aligning.
- Cut and seal. The machine cuts the bag to item length and seals the mouth with a heated jaw. A light curtain protects hands while the jaw closes.
- Label and exit. The thermal printer prints the shipping label, the machine applies it, and the parcel drops from the conveyor into the cart.

Film and rolls
- Material: PE or grey-black co-extruded mailer film. Paketör runs PE and co-extruded film.
- Width: rolls from 250 to 550 mm. Two widths cover most product mixes.
- Perforation: standard perforated rolls; no proprietary bags.
- Print: branded rolls are available. Roll change takes two minutes and needs no tools.
When is semi-automatic enough, when do you need fully automatic?
At 100-300 orders a day with similar items, a tabletop sealer plus a label printer may do. Past 300, with variable item sizes, or when sale days multiply orders by three or four, you need the fully automatic machine, because on those days the problem is not sealing but bag opening and label matching. Most asked about this topic
Is an automatic bagging machine the same as a bag sealer?
No. A bag sealer only heat-seals the mouth; choosing, opening and filling the bag is manual. An automatic bagging machine does those steps and prints and applies the label.
Do we need different bag sizes?
No. Length is cut from the roll to match each item. You keep one or two roll widths for your product mix.
Is a compressor required?
Yes. Bag opening and jaw movement need 0.6-0.8 MPa dry air; a small workshop compressor is sufficient and is not included.
Does air-jet opening work for every product?
Best for flat and folded items. Very light single items or sharp-cornered boxes are tested at the demo with film and speed settings.
