Cosmetics packaging machine: small items, high counts
Cosmetics orders are small but many, and most contain several items. On the bench the time goes into gathering the items and matching them to the right order, not into the bag. Paketör ties that match to the barcode.
Short answer
For cosmetics the Paketör PK-220 takes fragrance, skincare and accessory orders into a mailer cut from a narrow roll (250-300 mm), seals it and applies the shipping label. Small items run close to 900 parcels an hour; multi-item orders go in one bag and fragile items are protected by their own carton or a bubble inner bag.
Three problems in cosmetics packing
- Item count: 2-5 items per order. The risk of the wrong item entering the parcel is high and the return costs more than the product.
- Small volume: items are small, bags are chosen too large; dimensional weight and bag cost rise.
- Fragility: glass fragrance bottles, powders, palettes. The share of items needing protection is higher than in apparel.
How Paketör handles cosmetics
The operator scans the order; the order lines appear on the screen and the picked items are dropped on the belt. The bag from the narrow roll takes them, the jaw seals, the label is applied. Because bag length is cut to the height of the stack, a small order becomes a small parcel.
Fragile items
The machine does not add protective packaging; the item goes on the belt in its own carton or in a bubble inner bag, and the outer mailer closes automatically. In glass-heavy warehouses the inner protection is added during picking, so packing speed is unaffected. Bubble-lined mailer rolls can also be used; we test them at the demo.

Labels and marketplaces
Marketplace and own-store orders are packed on the same machine; the label comes from the panel and the machine prints it. Because no label is printed without a scan, "wrong order" returns disappear. See the shipping packaging machine page.
